A $2.8 billion not-for-profit faith-based health system that owns, manages, or joint ventures 18 acute care, 5 long term care, 5 assisted living and independent living and other facilities throughout 7 states.

Director, Corporate Media Productions, 2005 – Present

Lead all internal communications initiatives, including promoting the corporate Strategic Quality Plan, communicating Annual Reports, and Corporate Responsibility policies to an employee population of 21,000 across multiple states. Manage an annual communications budget of $300,000. Work closely with executive management in developing communication plans for acquisitions, mergers, and system-wide leadership announcements.

Coordinate the Strategic Quality Planning initiative, including the development and dissemination of the System’s vision, goals, and 3-year strategic plan as well as the annual planning processes through printed and web-based mediums.
Conceptualized, developed, and distribute BSN Headline News, an award-winning weekly enterprise news broadcast, including creative content development; worked closely with communications teams in local facilities for content development and contributions.

Developed and implemented an enterprise-wide Intranet as a knowledge transfer base and communications vehicle; technology influenced cultural change and created a unified corporate identity as this health system transformed from individual hospital systems into a single corporate/business unit model.

Created and delivered monthly training classes for Intranet Community Managers from all functional areas to communicate how to maximize its use and benefits.

Information Services Manager, 2002 – 2005

In charge of enterprise-wide IT project management of Disaster Recovery Planning, IS Budget Database Management, Siemens Bill and Contract Management, IT Asset Management, Implementation of Foundations enterprise software and enterprise Intranet Development.

Partnered with cross-functional department leaders enterprise-wide to develop disaster recovery plans for 11 different centers; consolidated all data centers together in single plan format.
Consolidated system’s 11 distinct philanthropy foundations with overlapping markets into a single form at with unique branches representing individual hospitals within the overall system; secured buy in from all foundation leaders.
Built an Information System budget database to consolidate individual budgets into one with tracking and reporting capabilities for executive information and decision making.

Database Administrator, 2000 – 2002

Oversaw the administration of claim and risk management databases, including data warehousing, data scrubbing, loss run production and reconciliation, user training and corporate roll up procedures.

Workers Compensation Manager, 1996 – 2000

Aggressively managed the enterprise-wide administration of Worker’s Compensation claims and oversaw TPA and insurance company adjusters in order to bring claims to cost effective closure. Conducted regular claims audits and staff training. Led a team of up to 13 direct reports at multiple locations throughout the healthcare system.

Developed and implemented numerous Worker’s Comp standards and loss control programs, including compensation claim standards for TPAs and internal employees as well as TPA audit programs.
Played a key role in building the Preferred Provider Organization consistent with Florida’s Mandatory Managed Care Act.
Standardized the TPA contract and moved the system from individual location contracts to a uniform contract for all locations; consolidated several TPAs to one national vendor through RFP submissions.
Leveraged IT background to build a Worker’s Comp database of loss information with location consolidation and report generating capabilities; produced consolidated loss run reports for reinsurance.
Decreased Worker’s Comp reserves by 50% within 24 months by standardizing audits, policies, and procedures throughout the system.
Reduced Worker’s Comp premiums 17% in 1998 and 25% in 1999.
Conducted Worker’s Comp due diligence for acquisition of Franciscan Health Partnership.
